A symbol of courage and resilience, Daki Garay is a Peruvian trans singer and influencer who started from scratch. Through daily effort and unwavering determination, she’s captivated countless young fans who follow her on social media. Let’s take a closer look at her inspiring journey.
Daki describes herself as an emerging pop star, but reaching her dreams hasn’t been easy. “Despite all the thorns along the way, I’ve found a way to push forward,” says the influencer, who at one point considered leaving social media after her transition. “People can be incredibly cruel with their comments, and unfortunately, I’m not made of stone,” she emphasized.
Instead of letting the negativity defeat her, Daki used it as fuel to grow stronger and pursue her ultimate goal—living off her passion. “It’s incredibly rewarding to realize that so many people believe in my project and believe in me. That makes me really happy,” the singer shared.
This newfound drive has led her to not only continue her career as an influencer—where she’s known for staying authentic in all her content—but also to focus on her music career. Her songs are inspired by her personal experiences and imaginative worlds. “My biggest dream is to perform in a national tour in my country, walk the stage at the MTV Awards, and win a Grammy,” she revealed.
To achieve these dreams, Daki has embarked on a rigorous journey. One of her recent milestones is her first collaboration with fellow artist Danielle Rovi on the song "Pose" which quickly became a hit in Lima's LGBTQ+ party scene. “In just two hours, we had the melody, the lyrics, and the composition—it was such a natural process,” Daki expressed, thrilled about this project that’s driving her to expand her music to international audiences. In 2025, Daki surprised everyone with the release of an extended video for her song "Apreita Remix" featuring Bathul. The video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the music video and an intimate glimpse into her creative process.
